De aanwezigheid van een goed gecuffte endotracheale tube zorgt voor een vrije ademweg en beschermt tegen een verslikpneumonie.<\/p>\n<p>Intubatie kent echter ook (levensbedreigende) complicaties, met name wanneer een onjuiste techniek wordt toegepast!
